Aerosmith music from another dimension full album

Maybe we should cover a couple of songs.вЂ™ I forget who brought (вЂShakey GroundвЂ™) in, and we tried it out and in the course of recording we just had so much fun with it that we wanted to put it on the album. вЂњWe needed extra songs for Japan and Europe,вЂќ Hamilton recalls, вЂњand we thought, вЂOK, weвЂ™re struggling to get all our own songs written.

So thatвЂ™s the process that happened on this record.вЂќДЄ surprise inclusion is a cover of вЂњShakey Ground,вЂќ which was a 1975 hit for the Temptations though Aerosmith based its version on Etta JamesвЂ rendition. Aerosmith may not have completely obliterated their stature as classic rock greats, but in the storied halls of rock and roll, Music from Another Dimension resides in the geriatric wing. Jack Douglas was our producer back then, and he has an ear for the weird stuff and how the weird stuff turns into great Aerosmith songs. You should not listen to this album in its entirety. Despite the super-hip title, 'Music From Another Dimension' shouldn't be treated as anything groundbreaking or even a full-on attempt at shaking up AEROSMITH 's sound for 2012. вЂњWeвЂ™ve had these songs that weвЂ™ve been really enthusiastic about,вЂќ Hamilton explains, вЂњbut never have felt we had a producer or support from the record company for some of these more off-the-wall tracks that are very similar to what we were doing in the 70s. Aerosmith also drew from вЂњsongs that have been written over the course of our lifetimesвЂќ - including the first single, вЂњLegendary Child.вЂќ Hamilton says all five band members wrote for the album, although the Tyler-Perry team dominated, of course. AerosmithВ fans can expect an album that вЂњreally pays attention to all the different eras of the bandвЂќ when вЂњMusic From Another Dimension!вЂќ - the Boston bad boysвЂ™ first new release in eight years - comes out on Aug.
